The Get Set for Work program is a Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation funded program that addresses the personal and training needs of young people to help them overcome barriers and gain skills to take the next step into the workforce. The program is primarily targeted at young people who are disengaged or are at risk of disengaging before completing Year 12. The Get Set for Work program creates a transition pathway towards employment, education or training.Job Preparation
- Personal development & team building activities to develop socail skills for work
- Referral & links to support services for personal & social issues
- Work experience opportunities - where applicable
- Job preparation, resume writing & interview skills
- Assistance with other job search techniques and referral to vacancies
- Opportunities to access employment including traineeships & apprenticeships
- 3 months post program support to help sustain employment, training or further education outcomes.
