Apprentice & Trainee Services - Gladstone Area Group Apprentices Ltd (GAGAL) is a not for profit community-based organisation which has been serving the Central Queensland area since 1985. GAGAL provides a vital solution for business and industry in the region by managing the risk of employing apprentices and trainees by committing to the full term of the training contract ensuring all competencies are met through a process of rotating apprentices and trainees between host employers.
Trade Training - To provide more flexible training options for apprentices in high demand trades to better service our host employers, GAGAL’s Technical Training Centre (GTTC) offers flexible off the job training to both its apprentices and to the directly indentured apprentices of local businesses.
Safety Training - GAGAL provides accredited and non-accredited courses in Safety Training, our accredited trainer (Peter Knight) has 31 years industry experience including 12 years as a Work Place Health and Safety Officer and conducts the following course on site at 28 Beckinsale Street. The information below states what course are available, the costs involved and the duration of the course.
Engineering and Construction Services - The GTTC is comprised of workshops catering for the trades of metal fabrication, fitting and turning, diesel fitting, construction, cabinetmaking, painting and decorating and plumbing. GAGAL is expanding these facilities to include industrial abrasive blasting and spray painting to support the work undertaken in the metal fabrication workshop. The GTTC is able to quote on manufacturing, construction, painting and decorating, plumbing, machining and electrical work.
Gladstone Tool Repairs – Gladstone Tool Repairs is our very own electrical tool service and repair workshop. We can repair power tools ranging from workshop tools to cordless tools, grinders, saws and many more. Gladstone Tool Repairs is an Authorised warranty and Repair Agent for: Makita, Fein and Holemaker Jancy Mag Drills.
