Dear Kerry,

I read with great interest your comments in 'The Gladstone Observer' today supporting the amalgamation of CQUniversity and Central Queensland Institute of TAFE. Thank you. CQUni and CQIT just last week signed an MOU to increase articulations and to, as you say, make the transitions between providers "smoother".

We feel very strongly, too, that such a merger will benefit all the trades and believe that if the proposal proceeds the "new" CQUniversity would be postioned very well to work alongside the GAGAL and the private sector to encourage apprenticeships and enable lifelong learning which are so important to the sustainability of Gladstone.
