Trades Training

To provide more flexible training options for apprentices in high demand trades to better service our host employers, GAGAL’s Technical Training Centre (GTTC) offers flexible off the job training to both its apprentices and to the directly indentured apprentices of local businesses in the following trades:

• Fitting and Turning

• Diesel Fitting

• Metal Fabrication (Boilermaking)

• Carpentry

• Painting and Decorating

• Plumbing

• Cabinet Making

GAGAL provides this training delivery through co‐provider agreements with Supervising Registered Training Organisations Careers Australia Institute of Training.

GAGAL also have a co-provider agreement with Blueprint Career Development to deliver Certificate II in Self Awareness and Development which benefits many community program participants.

More recently, GAGAL has expanded the GTTC to offer Safety Training and industry inductions as well as accommodate an increase in apprentice numbers which now provides more opportunities to apprentices of the region and further supports the needs of industry.
In 2010, GAGAL also entered a co-provider agreement with IFAP to facilitate the Working Safely Program.
